Loans By Kathy: Law Enforcement Day - September 15, 2012

Law Enforcement Day - September 15, 2012

Law Enforcement Day is today September 15, 2012.

Today is a day that we should take a minute to thank those that serve to protect us.  Every day when these brave men and women put on their uniform and the badges, they know there is a risk that they may not be home that evening.

In my family, my grandfather, my uncles and 3 of my cousins have all proudly served their community.  I am proud and thankful for all of them.

Photo: Today is “National Tell a Police Officer ‘Thank You’ Day.” If a officer has touched your life, please take the time to show your appreciation today. Policing can be a thankless task. Police work breaks your heart, no matter how detached you try to be. Just for today, tell an officer who is still standing a heartfelt thank you. Forward this post along to all of your contacts, so they can do so, too. For all the officers reading this today, LET salutes you, prays for you, honors you, and appreciates the contributions each of you makes every day, in every jurisdiction, as you protect and serve. Thank you, you make the world a better place.See More: http://lawenforcementtoday.com/2012/09/14/tell-a-police-officer-thank-you/

Thanks Lori.  I think many times law enforcement is overlooked.  It is nice to say thank you!

Kathy...this is a good reminder to show our appreciation to the men and women who willingly protect and serve on a daily basis.  Police officers deserve all the praise we can give them.

Kathy, I have been trying to keep up with the special recognition days and missed this one entirely. Thank you.

I spent 20 years in law enforcement/Corrections.  A car accident stopped my service.

Debbie, I think many times those that serve are neglected.

William, thank you for your service.

Thanks for letting us know Kathy - I had no idea that yesterday was such a special day.  I am sorry I missed your post, but will be sure to thank any law enforcement officer I see today for their services.
