Loans By Kathy: Follow the sun

Follow the sun

I have always liked sunflowers.  I think the contrast between the bright yellow leaves and the dark large center of the flower make them truly beautiful.  I think Todd's picture against the blue sky is stunning.

Enjoy!

Follow the sun no matter what type of day it is

There is a beauty in the sky everyday whether it is cloudy or not. If you live your life like a flower and choose to be happy no matter what is going on around you, you will live a longer life and be someone others want to be around you.

Be that person, starting today!

My 3 year-old grandson & I planted some Sunflower seeds this summer as a learning experience. He was slightly interested when the 2" plants popped up, but he got REALLY interested when they zoomed

up to 7-8 feet tall lolAiden sunflowers

We followed through with the process all the way to harvesting & roasting the seeds. We got the other two grandkids involved in that part. Ashley & Andrew sunflowers

Great experience.

I love that story.  Actually, the first "seed" I planted was a sunflower too!

I love that story as well, thanks for the reblog! I'm glad you enjoyed my picture, it was taken at a local farm on what seemed like a perfect day.

I have always liked sunflowers as well Kathy.  Nice photo and handy that Todd had his camera to snap it.

Thanks for this repost. I never thought about it before and did not know that Sunflowers follow the sun. With their name it was almost a dah moment.

Curtis, one of my most memorable moments was on a trip to Hungary.  There was a field of sunflowers that were following the sun as it started to set.  It was beautiful!
