Win a trip to NYC and a colonoscopy?

Yes, you read that line correctly!

I just saw an advertisement on CBS stating exactly that, win a trip to NYC and a colonoscopy.  My first thought was,"REALLY, what are they thinking?"

This campaign has successfully grabbed my attention, and I even went so far as to go to the website to learn more.  Here is the link

CBS Cares

It was there that I learned a little bit more about the reason.

"Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's participation in this project is especially meaningful - not only because they are major stars, but because Sharon fought a courageous and successful battle against colon cancer. For more information about her inspiring story and the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA, click here."

While I won't be entering the contest, I do applaud the effort to bring more attention to the need for testing in order to detect this potential killer.  Sharing this type of story is deeply personal and takes a great deal of courage to share with the public.  So, if you qualify, go ahead and enter the contest.

Here are two more links for you convenience.
